The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for a full-time Office Assistant 2 located in Wasilla, Alaska.
What you will be doing As an Office Assistant 2, you will provide a full-range of clerical and receptionist services, playing a vital role in the workflow of the office, which greatly contributes to our mission of strengthening Alaska's families and children.
You will perform a range of duties, including complex data entry, creating and maintaining files and records, and back up support for other assigned administrative duties.

Working environment you can expect This team is located in the Wasilla Regional Office, which is conveniently located next to many services and shopping such as Carrs! The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment that supports the operations of OCS and will be the first point of contact for the public, including clients, vendors and new employees.

We are seeking a candidate with the following competencies:
Clerical:
Knowledge of filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, and using and completing forms.

Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.

Reading:

AND One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs.
Substitution:
Education from an accredited college may substitute for the required experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience; 150 hours of vocation education equal one month of experience).
