As our Sports Center Facility Crewmember you will be responsible for cleaning, repairing, and maintaining the interior and exterior of our building.
This position is vital to the overall cleanliness of the facility as it gives a first impression to our Guests.
You will engage in a variety of assignments under the general direction of the Sports Center Facility Supervisor including set up and take down for events and activities throughout the facility.
Due to the nature of the business, high volume times occur over the weekends and evenings, which is when you will likely be called to work.
While this is an on-call position, the current workload is roughly 15-25 hours per week.

Show-cased on 60 wooded and beautiful acres, the Menard Center at 104,000 square feet, includes an NHL-size ice arena, an indoor artificial turf court, (the MTA Turf Arena), dryland training center, a running/walking track, batting cage with pitching machine, three community meeting rooms, and a commercial kitchen.
On the complex grounds:
rodeo arena with grandstand bleachers, and one-mile paved walking trail around the perimeter of the property.

Perform general custodial duties to include but not limited to floor maintenance, emptying trash, cleaning windows and restrooms following OSHA standards.
Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and outside immediate area of building.
Assist in landscaping, lawn maintenance, raking and trash pick-up.
Observe all rules and regulations of the facility and the City of Wasilla and effectively communicate these to the public as needed.
Communicate with others in a personable manner.
Assist in the preparation of multiple areas of the facility for a variety of events and activities.
Be punctual and show up to scheduled shifts.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet the following minimum
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Knowledge in the methods and techniques used in general cleaning of buildings and grounds.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools in a skilled and safe manner.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to accept constructive feedback.
Ability to tactfully and effectively communicate with coworkers and the public.
Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
Ability to work in arenas with large numbers of people.
