This position assists the Maintenance Supervisor in performing the necessary maintenance operations for residential buildings and the main WASI building in Wasilla, as well as Mid-Valley Senior Center and Blueberry Pointe in Houston, to ensure the goals of WASI and its grants are achieved.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Adhere to and clearly articulates the mission and core values of WASI Maintenance in all areas requested Fulfills work orders according to priority and on a timely basis Makes Supervisor aware of all safety issues Assists with repairs and preventative maintenance as well as upkeep and code compliance Performs snow removal Performs other duties or tasks as assigned This position requires carrying a maintenance cell phone with on call rotation of nights and weekends, ideal candidate will live within 30 minutes of WASI campus Keep accurate and timely records, including work orders and timesheet reports Maintaining company tools and equipment, to include cleaning, inventory, and proper storage and organization Qualifications Skills and Abilities Required Clean background check - Mandatory Clean Drug Test including Marijuana - Mandatory Current valid Alaska driver's license, proof of insurance, clean driving record Ability to interact positively with seniors and co-workers Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, appliance repair and carpentry Drywall repair, texture and painting Skills and Abilities Preferred High school diploma or equivalent Experience in electricity, plumbing, appliance repair and carpentry Core Competencies:

While performing the responsibilities of the Maintenance Tech position, the employee is required to talk and hear.
The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
The employee is often required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and lift heavy object and move heavy appliances.
This position drives a variety of vehicles.
This position operates a variety of power tools and snow removal equipment.
This position requires walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting 100 lbs occasionally.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
A variety of motorized vehicles including pickup, van, car, and plow are used with this position as well power tools and small hand tools.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
