GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY:
Processes routine customer transactions adhering to established cash limits and ensuring compliance with established bank procedures and regulatory requirements by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides excellent service to branch customers; processes routine paying and receiving transactions, operates Teller Machines, and balances cash drawer.
Processes Automated Teller Machine, mail, and night depository transactions.
Analyzes checks and deposits for transaction anomalies and performs regulatory reporting as required.
Explains, promotes, and sells basic products and services, and refers customers to other appropriate areas of the bank for additional expertise.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: Six months cash handling or customer service experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
Preferred: Prior Teller experience.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to operate a teller machine, 10-key calculator, and general office machines experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
