Help Desk Technician \(Able to Obtain Secret clearance\) Description Lynxnet With dedicated Information Management, Systems Engineering teams, and Unified Communications teams, Lynxnet specializes in designing standardized, repeatable, and defined processes and procedures to help our customers realize long\-term mission success\. JOB DESCRIPTION : The primary function of the Help Desk technician is to provide front\-line user support and casualty triage functions for the United States Coast Guard's Alaska Rescue21 equipment suite\. The Help Desk technician will assist the end user with basic systems and network support, as well as function as the primary liaison between the end user and higher\-tier support elements\. The help desk technician will track any and all service calls, maintain a service ticket management application, and interface and communicate with other company and customer entities\. Main Responsibilities/Duties : Responsible for maintaining ticketing application workflows and responding to all incoming incidents and service requests within the required service level agreement\. Provide timely response to all issues, updates internal customers on status, solicits additional information and troubleshoots issue if appropriate\. Identifies and escalates situations requiring urgent attention\. Problem Solving and Resolution follow through Regular communication with team members, customers and management is expected through email and voice message to report progress on project work, problem resolution and statuses\. Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Two to four years of relevant work experience High School Diploma Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills Must have a high degree of commitment and job ownership \(This position is part of a small team and as such requires appropriate dedication\) Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times supporting strategic objectives as assigned Must be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations Must possess the ability to work with or without direct supervision and follow instructions when given Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications \(Specifically, Windows 7, Elite Dispatch, and ICS V4 Communications\) Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for end user technical support Ability to learn technical aspects of all communications applications Preferred Requirements : AS or BS in Computer Science or Information Technology CompTIA A Certification ITIL knowledge and experience Proficient to expert in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint\. Work Environment and Physical Demands : Work 8 hours on a dayshift schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and after\-hours in support of a D17 mission; travel may be required to attend Government required training or mission support; physical demands include being able to lift 20lbs ; ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time\. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
